What the sources say about packs
Sources checked Steam store text and appdetails, 6 Nov 2026. Announcements dated 8 May 2026, 18 Sep 2026, and 19 Oct 2026. Chapter 1 and Chapter 3 store screenshots from the same appdetails payload.
Each booster pack has its own pool of heroes and spells. The store tells you to hunt rare cards. Funday’s support page says the pools cover different rarities. Drop rates are not printed.
The 18 September 2026 demo note adds foil heroes and foil tomes. The 19 October note adds Interlopers: a super-rare pull, from any pack, of a random hero that belongs to a full-game pack.
A Chapter 1 complete screenshot unlocks a pack captioned Advanced Pack, after that frame’s run opened 9 packs and earned 350 Mastery. That is one pictured run, not a requirement.
The shop was revamped in September, with an unnamed resource for shop upgrades. October’s note says shop rolls were made fairer. The Chapter 3 screenshot shows a 15/15 shop, Reroll Unbought, and a line that purchases do not carry over.
Packs are the thing the store leads with. This page collects what those sources actually say about opening them, and it stops where the sources stop. It is not a drop table.
Pools, rares, and foils
Three official lines agree, and none of them gives a percentage.
The store says you rip open booster packs, each with its own pool of heroes and spells, and hunt rare cards. The short description’s example of a good pull is a foil hero. Funday’s support page says there are multiple packs, each hiding a unique pool of heroes and spells across different rarities, and that beating the boss at the end of a chapter unlocks new packs.
The 18 September 2026 demo update says the demo build that day added a chance to find foil versions of heroes and tomes. It does not say whether a foil is a separate card, a visual variant, or a stat change. This page does not fill that in.
The 19 October 2026 Next Fest note adds Interlopers. The post’s own definition: you have a super-rare chance to drop an Interloper when you open any pack, and an Interloper is a random hero from one of the packs included in the full game (releasing 10 November). “Super-rare” is the post’s wording. It is not a published percentage, and it is not a list of which full-game packs exist.
What one results screen shows
The store screenshot titled “CHAPTER 1 COMPLETE!” also reads “COMPLETED IN 16 TRIES.” The party column lists Cursor (1), Ranger (2), Squire (7), and Barbarian (4), under the heading average damage and average defense. The center of the frame reads:
- Time survived: 53s
- Packs opened: 9
- Mastery: 350
- Unlocked: Advanced Pack
The small damage and defense cells are on the image. This page does not copy them into a table. A single promotional frame is a bad place to learn a target time or a target Mastery score. If the launch build shows different numbers, trust the client. Names from that column are repeated on Heroes only as names the frame uses.
The shop
Several dated notes describe a shop. They do not all describe the same day’s UI.
8 May 2026, Jordy’s demo patch: shop and upgrade tooltips were made more responsive; a “permanent tome” bug was fixed; the coin track no longer overflows; daily deals for common and rare units are “1c cheaper.” The note does not define “1c.” Coins are named only by the coin-track line. Common and rare are named as unit groups for those deals. No price list is attached.
18 September 2026: a new resource used to unlock upgrades for the shop, a revamped shop, and an improved collection screen. The resource is not given a name in the post. This page does not invent one. The Chapter 3 screenshot shows a blue gem-like counter (the frame reads 3687) separate from the coin prices on the shop offers. It is not clear from the text that the gem counter is the September resource. Leave it unnamed.
19 October 2026: “fairer shop rolls,” in the same list as the Interloper change. No formula.
The Chapter 3 store screenshot, subtitle “The Witch from the Abyss,” shows a shop column marked 15/15. Visible controls include Reroll Unbought, Reset Purchases, and the line Does not carry over. Offers in that frame are two packs marked BPH and one unit card, each with a Buy button and a coin price. The tabs beside the shop are Upgrade, Collection (with a “NEW” tag), Relics, and Modifiers. The Upgrade tab is a node graph around the tower. The 19 October note mentions skill-tree visual improvements. This page does not assert that the node graph and the skill tree are the same screen. Both are in official material. That is as far as the link goes.
A button on that frame says To Battle.
Mastery, in the pack loop
Mastery is how the store says a run turns into power. You earn it by surviving. You spend it to upgrade heroes and spells and to unlock abilities. The 8 May note’s only extra detail is that boss HP bars were divided to show mastery thresholds. The thresholds themselves are not numbered.
The Chapter 1 frame’s 350 Mastery sits under “Resources Earned,” next to the pack unlock. The store’s realm line is the other half: defeat the chapter boss, and the next pack opens. Every run feeds the next. That is the whole published economy. Per-pack prices, beyond the coins drawn on one shop screenshot, are not written out in the announcements.
